We went Socorro, Luis Fernando, Kanna, Gunnar, Andrea, Sandra and Lars. Here is what Mærsk wrote afterwards: "This year’s Family Day at Odense Steel Shipyard took place with record-breaking 10,000 visitors who visited the workshops, ate lunch in the sun and toured the newbuilding ELLY MÆRSK.

Employees at Esplanaden in Copenhagen had received 500 tickets to the event, which were “sold” within a few days. Sunday morning at 9 am, five busses took off towards Funen, and a few hours later the Esplanaden employees and their families got to tour the Yard. Most enjoyed the day and the rare occasion to visit ELLY MÆRSK - the new E-class container vessel.

“We really enjoyed our trip out to OSS yesterday. It was a fantastic opportunity to see their activities from really close, particularly appreciated that people could just walk about anywhere! Unfortunately we did not make it to visit the vessel because of the extremely long queue, but the day was really fantastic,” says John van Breugel, FACT.

This is the first time that employees at Esplanaden have been invited to the Odense Steel Shipyard Family Day that is primarily for the Yard’s own employees. Given this Sunday’s success an initiative has been taken to also invite Esplanaden employees and their families to the next Family Day which will be in 2009."

We had a great and interesting day!

Sandra had an accident with her leg so we are not doing much outside the house these days. Not that the weather is telling us to do stuff outside but anyway it is boring not to be able to get out.

Now Sandra is moving around the house a bit but still have to use the leg-cast for another 3-4 weeks.

Just returned from a week with all the family on the island Fanø west of Denmark. A lovely summerhouse where we went to celebrate my mother turning 60. We had a great time there swimming, sight-seeing and relaxing.

We are looking forward to next year :-)

We went to Hals and borrowed my familys summerhouse for the weekend.

Friday we went to a restaurant on the habour in Hals for dinner just Sandra and I. Andrea was with my parents for the night.

Sandra had invited a few friends from work and Mikael, Signe, Freja, Frederik and Emil visited from Vejle. Also my parents was there for a BBQ lunch during around 10 hours of rain on the Saturday.

We had a lovely time and talked and had a few drinks until late night.

Maybe not like U2 but closely... well at least she is in better sync that George Bush II!

I had forgotten all about this one. I got a fine in February (my first ever so not that bad considering that I had my driverslicense for more than 10 years now) for driving in the bus lane. Apparently you cannot do that so watch out :-)

Morten Nørgaard a friend of mine have always had a dream about writing and making a movie! Now he has done it!

The movie is a romantic comedy about 5 young peoples thoughs and actions regarding their next steps in life.

Danish description: "Næste Skridt handler om fem unge mennesker; Dennis (David Owe), Thomas (Kim Sønderholm , "Hvordan vi slipper af med de andre"), Mads (Mads Koudal, "Brutal Incasso"), Søs (Ninna Cederholm, "Forsvar") og Kirsten (Ane Fjelstrup, "Krøniken") og deres individuelle kamp med 30-års krisen og hvordan de overgår til det "rigtige" voksne liv.

Filmen er skrevet og instrueret af debutanten Morten Nørgaard for sit eget selskab, Ursa Major Productions. Genren er en såkaldt dramedie - altså en dramatisk komedie.

Filmen blev indspillet i sommeren 2005 og optagelserne sluttede kun få dage før David Owe påbegyndte arbejdet på "Vild med dans".

Endvidere på rollelisten ses så prominente navne som bl.a: Jens Okking, Jannie Faurschou, Ole Ernst, Lisbet Lundquist, Kira Eggers, Kristian Ibler, Claus Bue, Torben Zeller, Anne Marie Helger, Hanne Stensgaard, Merete Van Kamp, samt stand-up komikerne Povl Erik Carstensen og Brian Mørk - blandt mange andre..."

During easter we went to visit Sandras cousin Miguel, his wife Diana and their two daughters Xime and Lilo. We had a great time there and went to a spa, saw a waterfall, went to see Lucerne and relaxed.

We ofcourse have fotos from the trip but hopelessly behind they are not online yet...

We took the long trip to Aalborg to see Shakira! It was her first real concert in Denmark and the only one this time so it was given that we had to go!

Today I used most of the day sorting fotos and videos from our recent trip to Colombia. It turns out that we have about 5200 fotos from the trip and more than 3GB of video so I hope to get around 800-1000 of the best fotos online here and on Colombia.dk soon!
